I have had factor v for several years now. I have had 2 successful pregnancies. Now, I'm looking at having my tubes tied. I'm a nurse, and have done LOTS of research on factor v. My OBGYN wants me to do the essure - and I DON'T WANT IT!!! I would rather have my tubes tied, the traditional way. With the essure - I would have to take the depo shot, have the procedure 3-4 wks later, then go in 3 months later and have a radiological procedure done to make sure the tubes are completely closed down. if now, I'd have to do ANOTHER depo shot and come back three months later and have another xray done. I do NOT feel comfortable with the depo injection. she said it's riskier to have to be put to sleep for the traditional method than to go on the depo. I'm thinking about changing OB docs due to this. Have you had your tubes tied??? I don't want an IUD or the essure method. I don't think I'm asking too much - I just think she's uneducated about factor v. any suggestions????? any/all would be MUCH appreciated. you can email me at jakeandwillsmom at yahoo dot com. thanks so much!!!
