Does anyone else have multiple factor disorders? I have been diagnosed with Factor V leiden deficiecy and factor II. I sldo hsvr to have my factor X checked to determine my Lovenox dose. There seems to be very little known about this form of factor V leiden. True for you too?
I know a bit about factor V leiden I'm 14 years old and was diagnosed with it when I was 12 years old, it is usually passed through genes e.g from parents or g-parents. Factor V leiden doesn't effect you very much unless you are pregnant if pregnant you get a special type of needle which is used to thin the blood and keep the baby alive or there is a very high chance of miscarriage. Even if you aren't pregnant still be very cautious, Don't cross your legs or ankles and don't wear anything tight which can cut off your circulation. AND DON'T SMOKE these can cause blood clots which can travel to heart brain or lungs and kill you.

I have found a good doctor that really knows a lot about bleeding disorders. It is a good thing that I have never smoked and never been a big party person. My disorder has two factors missing (V and II) but with V it is called factor V lieden, which makes a difference in how it's treated. For now I have to use injections of blood thinners two times a day and will most likely for the rest of my life -- but that's alright. I wish I knew HOW this disorder works. All I can find out is that it starts to attack your major organs like lupus does and that you actually end up having lupus in most cases even though you don't show any symptoms of it. It is so strange! I guess it's true, the life is in the blood. Take care everyone.
